This is an audit-update date, not a legal approval date. AcuityRow, Llc will publish an approved effective date here once counsel signs off.

Section 01

What this policy is for

AcuityRow is a tool for organizing care, staffing, and family communication inside licensed senior living operators. This policy names uses that fall outside that purpose and that we will not support.

Violation may result in suspension, contract termination, and notification to the operator's compliance leadership.

Section 02

Prohibited uses

You agree not to use AcuityRow, directly or indirectly, to:

  • Produce a diagnosis, a medication recommendation, or anything that resembles a clinical opinion.
  • Replace your emergency response procedures or substitute for a 911 call.
  • Send family communications without the human review and approval required by your policy.
  • Surveil residents, families, or staff beyond what is documented in your operator policies and applicable law.
  • Make hiring, firing, scheduling, or disciplinary decisions about staff using protected characteristics, or in a way that is discriminatory under the Fair Labor Standards Act, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, or equivalent state law.
  • Upload data the operator does not have the right to process, including PHI from facilities outside the operator's covered entities.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the service, evade rate limits, or probe security controls without prior written authorization.
  • Use the service to generate, store, or distribute unlawful, harassing, or defamatory content.

Section 03

AI-specific limits

  • Do not configure family update policies that bypass the named-approver requirement for end-of-life, hospitalization, and incident messages.
  • Do not use AI-drafted language as a substitute for a required clinical assessment or for a regulator's required documentation.
  • Do not present AI output to residents or families as a clinician's opinion.

Section 04

Operator controls

Operator administrators are responsible for configuring role-based access, approval workflows, and family update policies in line with this policy. We provide tools; the operator sets the rules within them.

Section 05

Reporting violations

To report a suspected violation or security issue, write security@acuityrow.com. We treat reports confidentially and will not retaliate against good-faith reporters.

Section 06

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations after notice and, where practical, a chance to cure. For violations that present an immediate safety or security risk, we may suspend access first and provide notice immediately afterward.
